SALMON NEW ORLEANS
Sweet and savoury pan-seared salmon topped with sautéed shrimp in cajun butter sauce.
This is my version of the recipe.
First, season salmon with salt and pepper. Then, season the shrimp with onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, paprika and oregano.
Then, melt 1 tbsp butter with 2 tbsp honey in a pan over medium heat until it starts to turn brown. Place salmon in it for two to three minutes each side depending on how cooked you like your salmon to be. Take them out of the pan.
Add another 1 tbsp butter to the same pan with remaining sauce from the salmon over medium heat. Place the seasoned shrimp in the pan to fry on both sides for about 2-3 minutes.
Plate the salmon and shrimp and top with fresh parsley from the herb garden.
