Gardening: My compost bin is my raised bed pallet

We try to keep our waste as minimal as possible. Everything that can be recycled, we recycle, we use cloth napkins instead of paper towels, and all vegetable scraps from the kitchen will be brought out to my 'compost bin' aka raised bed pallet that I have not planted anything on at the moment. I might need a proper compost bin in the future but for now, I'll just bury my scraps under the soil and sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth on top of it so ants don't infest that area.
