Gardening: Ornamental Pepper

I got this at the clearance rack for $5 at Lowes. I think I got this because I feel bad that my current one looks like it's not going to survive because of the whiteflies infestation incident. It doesn't look the same as my current one and I'm not sure if this one is edible. I know my other one is. Maybe I'll just use this to make a homemade squirrel repellent spray. That would keep them away!
